And actually the two go to reinforce each other to spectacular effect, because it makes it absolutely clear that both parties are angry about "brown men abusing white girls", not child or domestic abuse in general.
Victims from minority communities and those abused by white men are of no importance at all to either party.

But Phoenix gets no hearing when she repeatedly points out that far more white men in gangs are child abusers, than are Pakistanis in gangs that dominate the news. And that white male abusers predominate despite the scandal of Councils etc having been reluctant to crack down on males of colour, to avoid potentially being seen as racist.
It's consistent with racism--or counterproductive efforts to avoid it--being more important, either way, than concern for girls as victims of abuse. Girls who are conveniently seen and dismissed by police (themselves predominantly white males) as "prostitutes"--despite their being children under the age of consent, trafficked by adult men who pretend to be their "boyfriends".
Seems consistent with the fact that of males arrested for the Southport riots, one in five has since been convicted for domestic violence.
Suggests the core constituency for Reform votes is angry white supremacist males in deindustrialised, deprived areas: who will beat up and rape "our women" and girls--but attack any yellow, brown or black man for presuming to challenge this prerogative (and steal "our" housing, jobs if there were any, etc) by coming to this country: especially in small boats fleeing persecution or war.
(And it's not much more than 100 years since women and girls were chattels--possessions of males--in English law.)
Landlocked constituency? No problem for solidarity of anger, fear, hate, misogyny, and violence against boat people--all carefully nurtured by Reform and Restore.
The New Nasty Party has even acquired some of the nastiest politicians of the Old Nasty Party.
But a disturbing article in yesterday's Guardian showed graphically that since Brexit, deprivation (and crime) has increased significantly in line with degree of deprivation, in more deprived, more Brexit-voting areas: which currently have the highest Reform votes.
And Restore got around the same percentage of votes in Makerfield as the British National Party used to get there.
