The challenge is not just what the new occupants of Downing Street do, but whether sufficient numbers of ordinary people are prepared to stand up against the proposals at every stage. Too many shy away from speaking up except against applications for planning permission by developers. They are likely to be the hard core of objectors against further destruction of the UK if they can be persuaded to turn out and support wider issues. The politics of rage has to be defeated and that takes courage in the face of constant condemnation or threats.
